1. Attachment: review the fascia and fastener path.
The fascia or approved mounting surface is part of the gutter decision. Visible deterioration, a sloped mounting plane, a gap, or poor fastener engagement can affect support. PrimeFlow evaluates the accessible condition and may specify hidden hangers at approximately 16-inch spacing or an approved alignment solution where the property supports it. Concealed conditions require separate confirmation.
2. Alignment: separate controlled drainage fall from mounting-plane correction.
A gutter needs deliberate fall toward the planned outlet while maintaining a supported relationship to the roof edge. The goal is not a perfectly level trough and not a fastener that merely touches the fascia. Visible alignment, hanger placement, outlet elevation, and attachment engagement are reviewed together so the written scope describes how the system is intended to drain and stay supported.
3. Seams and transitions: fewer joints still require careful installation.
On-site seamless fabrication reduces intermediate joints across long roofline runs. Corners, outlets, end caps, and necessary transitions still need fitted, sealed, and maintained connections. A localized leak may support a targeted repair when the surrounding material, alignment, capacity, and attachment remain suitable; a repeating or system-wide condition may support replacement.
4. Outlets: collection capacity needs enough ways to exit.
A 6-inch or qualifying 7-inch gutter can still overflow when outlet location, opening, quantity, or downstream routing does not match the contributing roof-water demand. Valleys and larger roof planes can concentrate water into one section. PrimeFlow checks the observed collection path before recommending another outlet, another downspout, a larger profile, or a different layout.
5. Downspout route: the final feet belong in the system plan.
The vertical route and discharge direction deserve the same attention as the gutter. Wall layout, elbows, brackets, doors, walks, landscaping, boundaries, grade, and existing drainage affect the recommendation. Oversized 3×4 and qualifying 4×5 downspouts can improve vertical capacity when the outlet and lower route support them; they cannot resolve every site-drainage condition.
